Why should God let you into heaven?
None of us has any legal rights to heaven, for “all have
sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Rom 3:23-24. We
don’t “deserve” heaven, and nothing we can do can change
that. It is only through the blood of our Savior and Creator
that heaven becomes attainable. By accepting Jesus’ offer
through faith, we can, and we will, be saved! “For God so
loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that
whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal
life.” John 3:16-17 Thank you Jesus!
Here is an illustration of this fact:
This guy dies and goes to heaven where he meets Peter at the
Pearly Gates. Before he can enter Peter gives him a few
questions to answer. He has to accumulate 100 points before
he can go in.
"So, how often did you go to church?" Peter asks.
"I went every Sunday and Wednesday," replied the man.
"That's one point," answers Peter.
"One point? wow! I figured it would be worth more than that."
"And did you give in the offerings?" asked Peter.
"Yes, I gave 10% of all my income every week," answered the man.
"Well, let's see," answers Peter, "that's worth 3 points. Did you do anything else?"
"Well, right off hand, I can't think of a whole lot. I did mostly what I thought I was supposed to do."
"Well, we'll give you 5 points for good behavior, can't you come up with something else?"
By this time, the man is completely flustered. He finally cries, "Well, I can't come up with anything else. It looks like that no one can enter heaven except by the Grace of God!"

"Probably he shouldn't, because I have done nothing to
deserve such consideration. I have a sin portfolio a yard
thick, full of disobedience to God, and there is nothing I
can do, not even giving my life, that will make me
acceptable. How then can I say with certain assurance that
one day, I will be in Heaven?
It is because I understand that my case is hopeless that I
have formed this relationship with God's Son. Actually He
came looking for ME with the offer. He reckons that if I am
a friend of his and am prepared to stick with Him throughout
my life, or what remains of it, that He will get me in. You
see my sin has condemned me, but what this Bloke did was
that He and His Father cooked up this plan together. Jesus,
that's the Bloke I'm friends with, said to His Father "Lance
can't get into Heaven, even if he gives his life because he
is not worthy, BUT, if I go to earth and become a man I
won't have Lance's original sin, I'll be just like Adam was
when we created him, except I will have all the
imperfections that have been added to the human race since
then. THEN, if I don't commit any sin while I am there, I
will be able to offer MY life FOR Lance, then because I will
have paid the penalty for Lance's sins, HE will be able to
get into Heaven".
His Father agreed with this, even 'though it would cost the
life of His Son as a blood sacrifice and was extremely
risky. If the enemy, Satan, succeeded in getting His Son to
Sin while He was in a weakened human state, then not only
would I be lost but His Son would be too, and Heaven would
be lost to the enemy. That was a LOT of responsibility to
trust to a mere human. (You see if He were to use his
Heavenly powers to do this task then Satan would be able to
say "You CHEATED!" So this Mate of mine came to earth as a
baby, grew up like I did, suffered the usual diseases, faced
all the temptations that I faced, but unlike me, did not
give in to them. Then when the time was right He gave His
life (in a most cruel manner) so that His Father would
accept His sacrifice, which WAS worthy - because He had no
sin, ALL THAT just so that I could get in. Well His Father
accepted His sacrifice all right because He raised Jesus
from the dead after 3 days and gave Him the earth and
everyone in it - including little old me.
Well, I reckoned that was a great offer, but I could foresee
a couple of snags. I said, "I am a bit of a crim and it is
doubtful if I could stay straight for long." He said, "Never
mind, think of Me as a Good Sheppard and you as a sheep.
Just as a Sheppard rounds up any sheep that strays, if YOU
stray, I'll come and find you and get you back. I'll make
sure the wolf does not get you and I'll stay with you and
guide you all the way to the green pasture" I said, "Well I
AM pretty grotty, suppose I continue to stray?" He said,
"Well I know you pretty well and I have already thought of
that. As well as coming to get you I might have to chasten
you a bit with My stick so you won't want to do that again"
I said, "Will it hurt?" He replied, "Of course, be no point
in doing it otherwise, wouldn't work if it didn't hurt."
"Mind you", He continued, "While ever you tell Me you are
sorry for straying and that you still want to be My friend,
I will NEVER leave you or forsake you. Trust Me, My Father
and I would never have gone to this much trouble for you if
We didn't want you. Just relax, It is My job to get you
there, you could never make it on your own."
"One last question." I said, "What if for some reason, I
WANT to get lost from You and refuse to be sorry or come
back with You, even when You chasten me?" He said, "Lance, I
would never FORCE you to go to Heaven with me, and if for
some reason you decide to give me the flick, you can. But if
you ever do that, I will continue to call you to let you
know I love you, and if you change your mind and ask me to
take you back, I will - same terms and conditions. But if
you were a sheep WHY would you WANT to be a meal for the
wolf when you can stay warm and safe with the Sheppard?" "If
the wolf gets you and you cry out for Me I will come and
save you from him. But if you don't call and you die while
you are away from Me you WILL be lost by your OWN decision".
Well, what could I do. Here I've got a Friend that gave His
OWN life to pay for my crimes because my life was not
acceptable. He pulls a fair bit of clout because He is God's
only begotten Son. He is in favor with His Father because
His Father really wanted me in Heaven and Jesus has made it
possible. He is going to guide me all the way, round me up
if and when I stray, chasten me if He thinks it is
necessary, protect me from the enemy and accept the
responsibility for getting me there. I said "YES!!!.

"The question as "Why should God let you into heaven" is really very simply answered in John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten that who so ever believe in Him should have ever lasting life."
One of my favorite Christian authors put it this way. "The condition of eternal life is now just what it always has been, just what it was in Paradise before the fall off our first parents, perfect obedience to the law of God, perfect righteousness. If eternal life were granted on any other condition short of this, then the happiness of the universe would be imperiled. the way would be open for sin, with all its train of woe and misery, to be immortalized.
It was possible for Adam, before the fall, to form a righteous character by obedience to God's law. But he failed to do this, and because 0f his sin our natures are fallen and we cannot make ourselves righteous. Since we are sinful, unholy, we cannot perfectly obey the holy law. We have no righteousness of our own with which to meet the claims of the law of God. But Christ has made a way of escape for us. He lived on earth amid trials and temptations such as we have to meet. he lived a sinless life. He died for us, and now offers to take our sins and give us His righteousness. If you give yourself to Him, and accept Him as your Savior, then, sinful as your life may have been, for His sake you are accounted righteous. Christ's character, stands in the place of your character, and you are accepted before God just as if you had not sinned."
That's the only reason "Why God should let us into heaven" no other.
When God sees us He sees the "character of Christ
standing in our place"

"There is no reason God should allow me into Heaven, as I am a sinner and I have sinned against Him and what He has asked of me. I have fallen short in many areas of His desire for my life. But, I am not without hope, as My Lord Jesus Christ has made a way for me to gain eternal salvation by His death on the cross and His resurrection to the Father. He did this for me and for everyone, that they may have entrance to our Father God. He has made a way where there was no way for me. I am at the same time humbled and exalted by His obedience when my obedience failed. He is everything to me and I am trying to pray for every person I know who doesn't know Him, to believe what He did for them and accept Him as Lord and Savior.
