What is Jesus doing in Heaven today? Is
he in the most Holy place of the sanctuary?

To find the answer to this question, we need
to turn to the book of Hebrews. Heb 9:11-14 "When Christ
came as high priest of the good things that are already
here, he went through the greater and more perfect
tabernacle that is not man-made, that is to say, not a part
of this creation. He did not enter by means of the blood of
goats and calves; but he entered the Most Holy Place once
for all by his own blood, having obtained eternal
redemption. The blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a
heifer sprinkled on those who are ceremonially unclean
sanctify them so that they are outwardly clean. How much
more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the
eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse
our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may
serve the living God" NIV
In the past, the Israelites had an earthly temple, where
they sacrificed animals on behalf of the sins they did. It
was a foreshadow of what happened on Golgotha. The book of
Hebrews is written to show that the new covenant based on
Jesus' sacrifice is superior compared to the old covenant
based on animal sacrifices.
This is why the inner veil (the veil separating the holy
from the holy of holies) was torn in two when Jesus died.
Matt 27:51 "At that moment the curtain of the temple was
torn in two from top to bottom." NIV The foreshadow had met
its fulfillment in the death of Jesus Christ.
Because of this, ever since Jesus' death and resurrection we
have access to the holy of holies in heaven. Heb 10:19-23
"Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the
Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living
way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body,
and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let
us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance
of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a
guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure
water." NIV
Jesus went directly into the holy of holies in heaven when
he was taken to heaven. Nowhere is there mention in the
Bible that he went in the holy first and then later into the
holy of holies!
What is that sanctuary in heaven according the book of
Hebrews? Heb 9:24 "For Christ did not enter a man-made
sanctuary that was only a copy of the true one; he entered
heaven itself." NIV It is clear. The heavenly sanctuary is
heaven itself!
What is Jesus' function there?
Heb 9:15 "For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new
covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised
eternal inheritance-now that he has died as a ransom to set
them free from the sins committed under the first covenant."
NIV
He is our mediator. What is a mediator? It is "one coming
between two parties to remove their differences". (from
Fausset's Bible Dictionary, Electronic Database Copyright
(c)1998 by Biblesoft)
The two parties are the devil who is accusing us (Rev.
12:10) and our loving Heavenly Father. Jesus' sacrifice made
Satan's accusations void, as we are now covered by the blood
of the Lamb, once we have accepted Him into our lives.
This is confirmed in several places in the Bible. Here are
some samples:
1 Tim 2:5-6 "For there is one God and one mediator between
God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a
ransom for all men-the testimony given in its proper time."
NIV
Heb 9:14 "How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who
through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to
God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death,
so that we may serve the living God!" NIV
Heb 9:28 "Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins
of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to
bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting
for him." NIV
Heb 4:14-16 "Therefore, since we have a great high priest
who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let
us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a
high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses,
but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as
we are-yet was without sin. 1Let us then approach the throne
of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and
find grace to help us in our time of need." NIV
Heb 2:17-18 "For this reason he had to be made like his
brothers in every way, in order that he might become a
merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and
that he might make atonement for the sins of the people.
Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able
to help those who are being tempted." NIV
We can thanks to Jesus' sacrifice come boldly to the throne
of God and ask forgiveness of our sins. If we have a
repenting heart, our forgiveness is guaranteed! 1 John 1:9
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will
forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."
NIV
Wow! Thank you Jesus for being my mediator and for forgiving
my horrible sins.
Have you accepted Jesus into your life? Have you received
forgiveness of your sins? No sin is too great! You may be a
murderer or a sex-addict. You may have committed hideous
crimes. Come to Jesus and accept Him into your heart. He
will forgive you! Come to Him now by accepting the altar's

Christ Jesus has been crowned with glory and
honor because He suffered death, so that by the grace of God
He might taste death for everyone (Hebrews 2:9). God has
exalted Him (Jesus) to the highest place and has given Him a
name that is above every name (Philippians 2:9) seating Him
at the right hand of God in heaven (Hebrews 10:12). At this
time He directs the affairs of the Church serving as our
High Priest (Hebrews 4:14), serving in the sanctuary in
heaven, the true tabernacle set up by the Lord (Hebrew
8:1-2).
God has also placed all things under His
feet and appointed Him to be head over everything for the
Church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills
everything in every way (Ephesians 1:22-23). He bestows
Spiritual gifts upon the Church to prepare God's people for
works of service, so that the body of Christ (the Church)
may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in
the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining
to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ (Ephesians
4:11-13).
He also bestows Spiritual gifts to
individuals for the common good of the Body of Christ, the
Church (1 Corinthians 12:4-11) as well as giving repentance
and forgiveness of sins (Acts 5:31), baptizing believers
into the Church through the Holy Spirit (John 1:33; 1
Corinthians 12:13). He has also prepared a place for the
redeemed of God in heaven (John 14:2) as well as making
intercession for the saints (Hebrews 7:25) and acting as our
advocate due to the sins of believers (1 John 2:1). Angels
and authorities and powers have also been made subject unto
Him (1 Peter 3:22). He is truly King of king and Lord of
lords (Revelation 19:16).

Good question! Before Jesus left the world
after his resurrection, he spoke some comforting words to
his disciples. These words that were spoken by the Lord is
still being spoken to us today. As many as believe on His
name and are willing to be with him have these words being
expressed to them today.
John 14:1-2 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in
God, trust also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms.
If it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there
to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place
for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that
you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place
where I am going”.
I have found these words thrilling to me. To those who have
accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior, the words from the mouth
of Jesus should encourage us to press forward and look up to
him for what he has said concerning the ultimate end of our
confession and living for Him.
Certainly what Jesus has gone to heaven to do for us, simply
put is preparation of a place for you and I. The house being
prepared is not made with human hands. It’s a divine place
where there will not be pains, tears, and sorrow, night or
day. It is eternity – life everlasting! You should make up
your mind to be there.
I have read testimonies of those who were privileged to have
been in heaven and came back stated that the mansion
(houses) being prepared is not ready yet because the elect
are yet to fulfill the scripture of preaching the Gospel to
wherever the sun is found. This is a challenge to you and I
to start preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom, because He
will not come to take us home until we have accepted the
challenge of preaching the Gospel in our various locations.
Believers are still not up and doing in the area of our
personal lives. How much of His holiness do you know and how
much of it do you reflect in your home, work and school?
Romans 8:33-34 “Who will bring any charge against those whom
God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who is he that
condemns? Christ Jesus, who died – more than that, who was
raised to life – is at the right hand of God and is also
interceding for us.
Can you see the location of Jesus here? Right hand of God.
He is also praying for us. These are other two things that
Jesus is doing for you and I in heaven today1
Challenge:
Amos 4:12 “Therefore this is what I will do to you, Israel,
and because I will do this to you, prepare to meet your God,
O Israel”. I am sure you would like to be where Jesus is.
You should be born again. You should shun your sins and
confess, forsake and live for him so that you can be where
he is today!
God bless you.

Yes he is. He went to prepare a place for
us. After cleansing us from our sins and making us perfect
to join Him in the most Holy place.
After our Savior returned to heaven from His ministry on
earth, the apostle John saw a vision of "the temple in
heaven" (Revelation 14:17; 15:5; 16:17), the original
heavenly sanctuary of which Moses' tent was only a copy.
In the Most Holy Place John noticed "the ark of his
covenant" that contains the eternal, moral law of God in The
Ten Commandments (Revelation 11:19; Hebrews 9:4).
After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in
heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of
a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I
will show thee things which must be hereafter. And
immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was
set in heaven, and one sat on the throne. And he that sat
was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and
there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like
unto an emerald. And round about the throne were four and
twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty
elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on
their heads crowns of gold. And out of the throne proceeded
lightnings and thundering and voices: and there were seven
lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven
Spirits of God. (Revelation 4:1, 5) and "the golden altar"
of incense (Revelation 8:3).
And most important, He saw Jesus walking among the seven
candlesticks (Revelation 1:12, 13). MAY ALL BE BLESSED
