Pray

I know this is going to sound strange but I have to tell someone that will not just blow it off. I sit with an 81 year old woman and she has the usual complaints of someone advanced in years. This woman has always been a very involved person in her church until the last few years and she hasn't been able to go. She has fallen 3 times in the last 6 weeks and has hurt her ribs and hip and yesterday she was in more pain than I have seen in the last 2 years that I have been sitting with her. She has been my neighbor for the last 23 years but my patient just for 2.

Anyway yesterday morning I truly thought she was dying she could not breath without horrible pain she was conscience but not really aware and I have been watching a lot of results from praying on television shows lately and anyway I felt why not after all nobody was looking and she wasn't not alert enough at the time to be aware of what I was doing anyway .I laid my hand on the spot that was hurting her and I prayed like I have never done before I must say being my first time doing something like that I was feeling a bit silly but when I was done she all of a sudden said she was very hot and ask me to take the blanket off of her and just leave the sheet and I did and she then went to sleep without anymore moaning and groaning and later in the day said she felt a 100 % better. Do you think it was my prayer???"

"I feel like shouting it from the roof tops that God is real and his promises are still valid. I felt at the moment she said she felt hot that something was happening. I had been feverishly praying that God would make himself known to me in other than Text and I really believe He did especially now that you agree that is what helped Marie. My first name is Teri and I had been lost from the Lord for most of my life until I came here to Marie and she started my interest and then before I knew it I had an unquenchable thirst and hunger for His word. I found myself waking up at 4 and 5 AM just so I could have some quiet time to go through my Bible and soak it in. It seems the more I learn the more I need to learn.

Thank you for your response."
